Hi, Matt with E-Trailer, and today we're talking about the Thule Roof Rack on top of our 2023 Jeep Compass. Now, this can be a great option for you, because the Compass doesn't have a lot of space in the back anyways, and eventually you're probably gonna run outta space if you are taking a trip. So a good place to store that extra luggage, or whatever you have, is gonna be on top of your roof. And this is gonna be a great option, because we're gonna have a decent amount of space to play around with here, because this one we have today has a little bit of overhang. A typical advantage to having a roof rack that has overhang to it is you're gonna be able to put those clamp-on accessories at the very end. It's gonna be more ideal if you have anything like a kayak, or if you have skis. more

Putting it on top of your roof is going to be a great option, especially if you do have a roof box. So let's check it out. The reason why I say this is great for more items like roof boxes is because we don't have a lot of real estate on our crossbars and that's because these are flush mounted crossbars and what that means is we don't have any overhang, it just ends at the tower. So, which is nice if you want that more clean design to your crossbars, but if you want anything to put up here like a kayak or skis, that's gonna be a lot more difficult because you're gonna have to reach over here a lot more. more

Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars Roof Rack Kit Installation - 2020 Jeep Cherokee- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Bars on our 2020 Jeep Cherokee. When you get your Rhino-Rack kit for your Cherokee, it's gonna have two bars and four feet. Since you have the raised rails from Jeep, these guys are just basically gonna clamp around them using a cushioned pad and you just tighten down a bolt to fasten it. Looking at the bars themselves, these guys are about three inches wide, about an inch tall. And on my demonstration model, you see a channel at the top that's three eighths inches for a T slot. And you're also going to have a rubber gasket that fits in there to help reduce the wind noise as well as a rubber spacer at the bottom of the bar. more

If you wanna carry around fun accessories like maybe a roof box for more cargo space, or some kayaks, or even a roof mounted bike rack what you first need is a roof rack system. There are a bunch of different kits or roof racks for the Jeep Wrangler two-door version. This is actually my special recommendation kit because it has longer crossbars than what is usually recommended for this car. So measuring from the tower to right before that end cap, it's gonna be about 4 1/2 inches, 4 1/4 give or take how you set this up. That measurement is going to be helpful for if you want to clamp accessories to the tower, if you wanna maximize your crossbar space. more

And if you ask me, you can't really go wrong with black in regards to the roof of your vehicle here, it just looks good no matter what color you have. So these are a great looking option and not only do they look great, they're gonna hold up well and look new over time due to that durable protection. So, why would you want a roof rack Well, it's gonna help you transport your large gear that wouldn't otherwise fit your vehicle, like your kayaks and your snowboards, so that you can have more room inside your vehicle. So, these cross bars are made out of aluminum and finished with a black powder coat. So, it is going to be weatherproof, so you can keep it on your vehicle all year round. Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the CURT Roof Rack for Raised Side Rails, here on a 2021 Jeep Cherokee. So for starters, this roof rack system here is gonna be designed specifically for models with the raised side rails. Therefore, you do need to check your Jeep ahead of time before ordering, to see what roof configuration you have, because there are two options. Models with the raised side rails, which is what we have here, and models with a bare roof. If you have a bare roof, that's totally fine. There is still roof rack options for you, but this one won't be the right choice. more

Now these are actually mount in the gutters on the existing roof on your Gladiator, you see, they fit into there. So that's kind of a nice option to have. There was not fixed the mounted points, but it's also not the naked roof where you have to measure out where you gonna put it. more

What's up everybody it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're goin to be checking out the Yakima JetStream crossbars on our 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. coming in here for a closer look. We have the JetStream bars on the skyline towers, and then we have the landing pad here, all of this working together to make sure this roof rack fits onto your flush rails. You have the side mount here, and what I mean by flush rails is these are just going to be rails that raise up from your roof, there's no gap in the middle. That would be a raised rail if it was up and there was something to clamp into it, that would be a raised rail. more

Hey everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Rhino-Rack SG cross rail system, for rain gutters here on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Overall, this is gonna be great little system, like I said, to give you guys just a leg above the rest and start getting some of your accessories on the top of your roof. Now one thing I'll say to it, it doesn't really have that great of a weight capacity. So with only about 88 pounds or so for your dynamic load, it's really not going to be excellent to get a lot of your big heavy gear up on here. Could be great for just like a couple bikes maybe up on there, some of your smaller bike carriers. more

That's gonna be a great way to haul some extra cargo up on the roof. This is a very large vehicle with a third row seat. So when you have that third row up, you've got it filled up with passengers for a road trip or something. You're losing a lot of cargo space in the back and you need a place to put it. more
